Kent State and the Arab Spring

On 30 April  1970, US President Richard Nixon addressed the nation on the subject of a planned invasion of Cambodia.  Over the next few days, anti-war demonstrations erupted across America.  On 4 May, Ohio’s Kent State University was no exception. Over two thousand young protestors rallied.  Ohio’s National Guard was called in.  Rocks and gas canisters were thrown.
